About the Role:

As an Analyst – Sustainability (S&R), you will be part of Bain’s Sustainability Center of Excellence (CoE). The role focuses on advancing Bain’s sustainability vision by analyzing ESG metrics, developing carbon strategies, and supporting global client cases. You will contribute to frameworks like the GHG Protocol, analyze Scope 1–3 emissions, track carbon regulations, and explore automation through coding and AI tools.

This position involves working closely with Associates and Project Leaders, delivering data-driven recommendations, and collaborating with senior stakeholders to create impactful sustainability solutions.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop models for Scope 1–3 emissions using GHG Protocol and other frameworks.
• Analyze sustainability data, benchmark emissions, and track evolving regulations.
• Design and recommend sustainability strategies for clients across industries.
• Generate insights from complex data trends using advanced analytical tools.
• Support ESG topics including Carbon, Circularity, Water, and Food systems.
• Build impactful dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau and Alteryx.
• Explore the use of AI to improve efficiency in sustainability analytics.
• Clearly communicate ESG findings and insights to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and disclosures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (background in data analytics, data science, or engineering preferred).
• 0.5–1 year of experience, ideally with ESG exposure.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data modeling skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with Tableau and/or Alteryx.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
• Ability to synthesize data into actionable insights and clear recommendations.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
